

Allan Ortiz is a multifaceted educator and cultural advocate with a rich history of coordinating arts programs, spearheading community outreach, and contributing to the academic and creative sectors. As the former Cultural Arts Program Coordinator for Elizabeth Seton School’s two campuses, Allan played a pivotal role in enriching the school’s cultural landscape. His tenure as a board member of the Faculty and Staff Empowerment Collegiality Council (FASECC) from 2014 to 2016, and his earlier position
as the Filipino Subject Area Coordinator from 2012 to 2014, highlight his dedication to educational leadership.
Allan’s initiatives have left a lasting impact, including the annual Buwan ng Wika celebrations, the “Lakan at Lakambini ng Seton” pageant, inter-school fashion competitions, and DigiPelikula—an independent film festival for high school filmmakers. Beyond the academe, he founded and directs the Light of Life ministry, which supports underprivileged students at Pamplona I Elementary School through spiritual, educational, and nutritional programs.
A prolific textbook writer since 2003, Allan has authored numerous Filipino textbooks for elementary and high school students, currently representing Abiva Publishing House, Inc. His diverse experiences also encompass roles in indie film production, television, and commercial modeling, alongside a longstanding commitment to choral music as a member and past president of the St. Joseph Parish Mixed Choir.
Allan’s academic pursuits include a Master’s in Educational Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. His scholarly achievements are recognized by the Royal Institute of Singapore, where he is a Senior Member, and by the Brethren Evangelical School of Theology, which honored him with a Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Honoris Causa) for Leadership and Supervision. His research excellence was acknowledged at the 1st Multidisciplinary Research Festival by the Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions and Ascendens Asia.
His accolades include the Asian Achiever, People’s Choice Award, Ambassador’s Seal of Excellence Award, and Servant Leadership Icon in 2018, as well as the Best Filipino Book Author (Private Category) in 2016. Most recently, Allan was distinguished by Dangal ng Lahi 2024 as the Philippines’ Outstanding Educator and an Inspiring Advocate for Environmental Protection. His multifarious contributions reflect a deep commitment to fostering cultural appreciation, educational advancement, and community service.
